Messages

The Sunday morning church service is when the whole church gathers together to worship God by singing to Him, giving of the time, money, and skill He has graced us with, and receiving a message delivered by a man who senses God's call to preach and teach the message of the Bible.

We record the audio of the sermons during each service and post it over on SoundCloud. This web page provides links to the sermon audio as well as to correlating materials you can use for further research and for group study in your small group.

The Gospel That Dispels Doubt

Sunday, May 29, 2016

Jesus promised, "You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." And yet, amazingly, we're surrounded by friends and family who are weighed down with doubt about God's love, doubt about whether they'll spend eternity in heaven or in hell or just become worm food. They are aching to know the truth and be set free. In this week's message, it's back to basics as Andy Sharples shares how his own doubts were replaced with confidence through the good news of Jesus Christ.

The Battle is Spiritual and Purposeful

Sunday, May 22, 2016

There are numerous passages in the epistles illustrating that demonic spirits can have extensive influence on believers. Paul warns Timothy "the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared." So in essence we are being told to be careful to what teachings and influences we expose ourselves to. We need to all ask ourselves who is behind these teachings or these realms of influence.

A Temple of God, but a Dwelling for Demons?

Sunday, May 15, 2016

What does the title of this message even mean? Just the thought of it makes most Christians uncomfortable.

Is it really possible for the temple of God to be a dwelling for demons?  If so, is this something that I need to be concerned about, or is this something that is only for people who have dabbled in witchcraft? After all, "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom."

Honor Your Mother and Father

Sunday, May 8, 2016

A Biblical view of women is very different from the views found today in Middle Eastern and Mohammedan cultures. They often occupy leading public positions (Exodus 15:19-21; Judges 4:4-5). Scripture doesn't just say, "Honor your Father". It says, "Honor your Father and Mother." We will also take the time and value God’s word and honor our mothers in a way that glorifies our God.

Ultimately It Is Not Missions, It Is Worship

Sunday, May 1, 2016

Worship is why we do what we do, not to follow the letter of the law. I want to firmly state we do not do missions simply because it it the Christian thing to do. We do missions because missions is not just about missions, but worship.

 143 Words of Concentrated Christianity

Monday, April 25, 2016

Recently my soul was stirred by a great classic hymn. In 143 words, this hymn beautifully delivers to our hearts the essence of our faith. So in this week's message we explore the big ideas of Christianity guided by this hymn: atonement, redemption, belief. Even if you don't like hymns, I think you'll be stirred by the message in this song. Let me know what you think by leaving a comment below.

Steps to Victory

Sunday, April 17, 2016

As believers, we battle many confusing issues. We see men and women who have walked with the Lord for years and then one day we hear that they have fallen into great sin or turned their back on the Lord. We also see ourselves struggle from time to time battling certain issues that seemed to be unshakable strongholds in our lives. We hear of dear brothers and sisters who say that that they are being harassed and plagued by extreme demonic influence. Many times when we hear this, we try to take a passive-aggressive approach. We acknowledge but we don’t acknowledge it for what it truly is.

What is Best?

Sunday, April 10, 2016

This week’s passage is like handling fine china...it must be handled with care.  In the passage, the Pharisees test Jesus by asking Him about lawful divorce.   Jesus aces the test by providing profound insight into marriage that is so applicable to us today.  Join us as we wrestle with a very pertinent issue in a careful and relevant way.

Beware of Toxic faith

Sunday, April 3, 2016

“Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him if a great millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea.”

Sometimes, we forget about why God views sin so seriously. It's that unchecked sin in our heart will hurt our heart, cause us to be open to great deception and possibly cause others to fall away.

Let’s Talk About Jesus

Sunday, March 27, 2016

If you want to make people uncomfortable, make a statement like this: “Let’s talk about Jesus”. People can literally get offended at the mention of His name. Students have been expelled for talking about Him. People are literally mutilated and killed because they profess their belief in Him. 2 Corinthians 4:4 tells us "...the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”
