Pastor Jeff joined the ministerial staff February 2009. His passion is to teach God’s Word equipping them for ministry. He loves to watch people come to know Christ and to grow into fully devoted followers of Him. The Lord saved Jeff at the age of thirteen and called him into the ministry at seventeen. He is married to a wonderful woman, Pam, and they have four incredible children: Zeke, Caleb, Grace, and Isaiah. His educational background includes a Doctorate in Education Ministry and Masters of Christian Education from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Bible from Southwest Baptist University. He has served as a pastor in Missouri and Alabama for nearly twenty years.
Jeff has served on the ministry team since 1994. Since the Father is looking for worshipers, Jeff’s passion is to help people become the kind of worshiper for which He is searching. He believes the Lord has graciously given him a heart to lead God’s people to worship Him with single-minded devotion. He has a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Central Oklahoma and a Master of Church Music degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Loretta, have three daughters: Charis, Alyssa, and Erin.
Bryan has served on the staff of Southside since 2000. Bryan’s passion is to share his love for the Lord with those he has the opportunity to meet and serve. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mercer University as well as a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Bryan’s wife Kerry teaches kindergarten and swim lessons. Bryan and Kerry have a 6 year old miniature dachshund named Goober Grace. They feel very blessed that God has allowed them to call Huntsville home!
Steven came on staff at Southside in June of 2009. He has a passion for teaching God’s word and seeing students grow deeper in their relationship with the Lord. Steven married his wonderful wife Adrienne in November of 2008. Adrienne is an extremely talented strings teacher and is now using her gifts in Huntsville. Steven has a Church Ministries Degree from Southwest Baptist University and has nearly completed his Masters in Counseling from Midwestern Theological Seminary in Kansas City Missouri.
Lisa's family joined Southside in August 1992. She is married to Rich and they have 3 wonderful children: Julie, Caroline and Brent. She received her undergraduate in Elementary Education from Mississippi University for Women and Master’s in Early Childhood for Mississippi State University. She enjoys scrap booking and traveling with her family in her free time. She became a Christian at 9 years old and really started growing in the Lord when she went away to college. Her greatest blessing is to watch the children at Southside grow in the loving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Larry joined Southside in 1994 and became the first fulltime facility manager in October 1995. He pastored Southern Baptist Churches eighteen years before he came to Southside. He has been married to Pat for 34 years, and they have twin daughters.
Jan has been married to Steve for 33 years. They have two children and five grandchildren. Jan & Steve have been members of Southside for 15 years. She loves Italian food, the color red, and being with people. She has known of the Lord all her life but He became her Savior when she was eight years old. Both of Jan's children are in ministry, her son and his family in Huntsville and her daughter and her family in Maine.
Meg Sanders was born in 1959, and born again in 1981. She graduated from Auburn with a B.S. in Food Administration. She is married to George and has two children: Stephen and William. She has worked at Southside since 2004.
Will was born in 1981 in Memphis, TN. He was saved by grace when he was 7 years old. He now lives in Huntsville with wife Lesley and daughters Abigail and Aralyn. Will's passions are music & music ministry. He has a heart for seeing members of the next generation learn how to lead the body of Christ in genuine worship. He has worked full-time at Southside since 2003.
Sheran began serving as Pastoral Assistant at Southside on Dec. 2, 1996. God literally gave her this position, and He has blessed her tremendously as she has served Him in this ministry. She can only say thank you for all the love and support that she receives from the staff and church family. She has two wonderful children, Huey and Suzanne. Her son has been blessed with a great wife, Elicia, and they have blessed Sheran with her first grandchild, Kyler, who was born Jan. 15, 2008.
Tina was born on an Army base in Nuremberg, Germany but has lived in the Huntsville area since she was a baby. She graduated from Lee High School. She became a Christian at Vacation Bible School at her grandmother’s church. Tina joined the staff on 1996 and loves her job and the opportunity to work with preschool, children, youth, college and single adults.
Sammy suddenly realized at 39 years of age that she had not received the Lord as her Savior, so she took care of that. She's married to Bill, and they have two sons, two daughters-in-law, two grandsons, two granddaughters and one grandson-in law. They also have four cats. Sammy likes to sew, quilt and do counted cross stitch. She also likes to read, and she tries to learn something new each day. She has been on staff for twelve years.
Barbara was born in 1964. She graduated from Grissom and went on to receive Bachelor's degrees in accounting and Computer Information Systems. She was born again in 1986 at Outreach Ministries of Alabama, and married Erik on December 9, 1989. She has four children: Sara, Joshua, Tim & Jacob, and has been employed at Southside since 1998.
